Following the Philharmonic’s years-long collaboration with conductor Christian Knüsel and the Philharmonic’s second upcoming tour to Switzerland, we will open the „D“ series with a concert reflecting the musical art of this land. The brilliant Australian violinist Daniel Dodds, who has been successful as an artistic director and concertmaster of the Festival Strings Lucerne festival, will appear as a soloist for the first time on the Czech stage. He will play the famous Tchaikovsky‘s Violin Concerto in D major for the Olomouc audience. The second part of the concert will belong to the original Swiss music – in his Symphony No. 1, Joseph Lauber has recreated the authentic atmosphere and picturesque natural scenery of his Alpine homeland.
