Pianist Karel Košárek has a reputation as an interpreter with an exceptional range of concert activities; he also belongs among the most sought-after chamber players. He collaborates with renowned orchestras as well as prominent Czech vocalists, especially Magdalena Kožená, Roman Janál or Soňa Červená, and accompanies prominent instrumentalists. Košárek is a valued interpreter of the 20th Century musical modern pieces. For this reason, he chose compositions by authors of this musical era, such as Russian composers Dmitri Shostakovich and Nikolaj Kapustin, French César Franck or Czech Bohuslav Martinů.
