MF is Open! Festive Concert
MFOpen will open with a festive orchestral concert with music by Antonín Dvořák. His Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in B minor, one of the most famous works of its kind, will be performed by the concertmaster of the Moravian Philharmonic , Vilém Petras, winner of several awards from competitions such as Talents for Europe, the Antonio Janigro Cello Competition, the National Competition of Czech Conservatories and the Jan Vychytil Competition. As a soloist, he has performed with several orchestras, such as the PKF – Prague Philharmonia, Prague Symphony Orchestra or Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra, and he also premiered a cello concerto by composer Daniel Chudovsky. Friday evening, entitled MF is Open, will be complemented by a selection of Dvořák's Slavonic Dances and Johannes Brahms' Hungarian Dances.
