Chamber Evening with Ondřej Vrabec

25. 2. 2025

Red Church in Olomouc, 19.00
K3

Ondřej Vrabec, an excellent horn performer, is a member of the horn section of the first Czech orchestral ensemble – the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, where he serves as assistant conductor. He also leads the Karlovy Vary Symphonic Orchestra. Vrabec is particularly fond of works from the Baroque, Classicism, and 20th Century period. Following Hoffmeister’s Quintet, Rosseti’s Horn Concerto and Haydn’s lilting symphony called „The Philosopher“, Igor Stravinsky’s Dumbarton Oaks – one of the composer’s two concertos for chamber orchestra inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach‘s Brandenburg Concertos – will particularly come to the fore in the programme of his Olomouc concert.
